More of a whimper than a bang
Jun. 17th, 2004 05:19 pmI'm back. I guess.
I've been thinking about doing this for a while now; ever since I nearly missed BU. It's become quite clear that for at least my levels of organisation and planning, I'm going to miss out on a lot of stuff if I don't check LJ occasionally. I've been reading a few people's pages over the last few days; it would probably be more honest if my name wasn't crossed out.
Or maybe there's a new variant of the sausage trojan? One which toggles your journal status?
Just for the record, I still don't actually like LiveJournal. I think it leads to far to much of a declaratory style of communication. And I know this is exactly the type of declaratory post I dislike - ah, the irony.
As for all the stuff which caused my rapid exit: well, I don't think it can be fixed, and I'm not talking about it any more than that. So there.
While I'm obviously flattered if people are pleased to see me back, I'd appreciate it if people didn't post content-free "Welcome back!" comments. Thank you.

Date: 2004-06-20 06:57 am (UTC)That's interesting. I wonder if that's part of the reason for my discomfort with it? I've been wondering whether it changes my personality in ways I don't want it to.
It is good to see you back, though, so I hope we can both find ways of using it that work for us.
