I doubt you will read this, but I'm really pleased for you that managed to overcome the problems you had as a teenager. I too have suffered with depression and know how difficult it can be.
However, your positive experiences don't mean that UCKG doesn't exhibit cult-like behaviour, make financial demands on its followers, put the lives of vulnerable people as risk, and oppress women. I suggest that you read more widely around the subject - the Wikipedia article linked to above is a good place to start, and you'll find lots of links to other websites and news reports at the bottom of the article.
A word of advice - you'll garner much more respect if you sign your posts, either with your Livejournal ID, or your name or a link to your own blog or website if you don't have a Livejournal. Not doing so can often be taken for cowardice and an unwillingness to be open about your convictions and engage in debate - not ideal when you're maligning other people for being 'afraid' or not 'brave enough' to visit UCKG's website.
By the way, I have visited the website, and wasn't impressed - particularly by some of the ludicrous supersititions (witchcraft, curses, possession etc) being propounded in the forums.
