Italian pics
Sep. 8th, 2002 02:51 pmSince I somewhat unexpectedly survived the Autostrada del Sol on the way back, here are the non-obscene photos.
In one thirty minute period we saw:
* Two people tailgate us (not like UK tailgating, this was down to a few centimetres) and beep horns to try to make us pull over for them
* One man swerve across the motorway as he was rolling a cigarette while driving
* One cyclist (on a section without hard shoulder, natch)
* One man park his van on the chevrons between the motorway and a slip-road, get out, and squint at the exceptionally large, easy-to-read sign 10m in front of him.
* One recent traffic accident. In the UK drivers slow down on motorways to look at accidents. In Italy, they stop, put the handbrake on, get out and have a look.
Does anyone know of some software that will let me adjust video files' brightness / contrast, rotate them, and extract the audio track? GPL'd unix stuff would be ideal, but I could put up with Windows shareware (or warezware) if I had to. All my files are in AVI with the Motion JPEG codec. Ability to reencode them would be a bonus.
