I know a few people on my friends list have H120s or H140s, so I thought you might be interested to know that Rockbox now seems to be fairly stable and usable on them. Installation instructions here.

What are the advantages over the native firmware, besides the general glow of Open Source virtue?

On the fly playlists, gapless playback, faster loading, more codecs.

Disadvantages: remote screen doesn't work, recording is "experimental".

Have you been back lately, dude? Demons everywhere. Much better animated, also. Gameplay largely unchanged. Although this time you can bring a PDA. Which, admittedly, you wouldn't need if you hadn't reformatted your iPod.
