Fucking hell that's a lot of rain. The garden is 10 cm underwater.

I know because I went out in it. Seemed like a good idea at the time. When I came back in the rain got harder. For about a minute it rained so hard that the gutters couldn't handle the load and water started entering the house via the central heating boiler vent and the back door (at quite a rate too!) We poured it down the sink, and the sink didn't drain.

Shit. That was biblical.

Eek! Sorry to hear that. I was enjoying it immensely but it wasn't coming into my house. Hope it's okay.

I just got back home, and there's a couple of damp spots on the floor in here too. This being the second floor, I think I'll blame the roof.

Mind you, it really has bucketted it down at times today.

It's still going here!

I blame myself - I am wearing the "rainbringing" spooky kid baggy trousers of dampness. Every single time I wear them and have t leave the house it pours it down.

Good job it's the old house eh?

It came into ours, but only because I/we had left the skylight open.

I walked past three times thinking 'which idiot housemate has spilled something on the stairs and not cleaned it up' before it clicked...
