I'm very unsure as to whether I'll keep this up, but it's got to be worth a try. I've been very quiet on DBAM lately - I think that's to do with being busy at work at the moment. Still, we're handing over the first version of the system today, and things might calm down.

Of course, better to be busy than dead. I met Owen on the tube this morning, and he said his workplace had gone from 260 people to 80 this year. Ouch

Am I the only person who's not afflicted with hayfever or gothdom and is actually enjoying the summer? Apart from having to spend large swathes of it indoors writing software of course.

And on a related note, why are so many of my friends *aspiring* to gothdom? Like, that pub at the weekend? With the trannies? Why was that advertised to us as a goth pub?

Rant rant rant.

...so our office is not actually air-conditioned, and we don't have enough fans. The local unix geek has offered me a place in the air-conditioned machine room, but I'd be lonely in there. I really need an ice cream...
