Wireless LAN?
Mar. 26th, 2005 03:02 amI'm tired of having cables strewn throughout the flat, and worried that when we move it'll be worse (at the moment, 3 computers are in the living room, as is the phone socket, which helps). So I want to build a wireless LAN.
I want:
* 802.11g, so I stand a chance of streaming video over it with Myth
* (PCI) wireless cards that work with Linux with as little aggro as possible
* A wireless DSL router with the following features:
* Source and destination NAT (so I can run a home server)
* Sensible, granular control of firewall settings
I assume all the routers have a web interface, ethernet socket for a wired LAN, etc.
Does anyone have any recommendations?
