That anonymous commenting thing
Aug. 25th, 2009 07:13 pmAs done by so many others (baaa, baaa).
Comment if you'd like to say something to me. Post-BiCon-related or not. All comments are screened. IP logging off. Say what you like.
ETA: I just had an anonymous comment that I would have loved to be able to reply to! Do consider signing a name, although that is in no way needed...

Date: 2009-08-27 11:33 am (UTC)In one sense definitely yes, I have a Flickr account as Lauren and I'm constantly fending off dodgy men whom I suspect would not fancy me as Simon. But that's probably not quite what you were asking.
It's a bit harder to tell in the real world; while I'm not "flirt blind" per se I'm still not always confident about whether someone's just being firendly or whether they want more (but who is?) And this BiCon (which would have made a good test) I was hardly seen as Simon so I have no control group!
That said I did feel a bit like everyone was being extra-friendly, so maybe that's an explanation.
I don't mind if people fancy me more as Lauren but if they fancy me only as Lauren then that's a pretty solid indicator that nothing is going to work - sooner or later the clothes would have to come off...
