I take your point, but they're just like that sometimes. Perfectly decent people let their kids take the flag pledge. It doesn't mean they're barking in the general sense. It's just what they've grown up with.
Well according to figures that I've seen the population of the USA was 278,000,000 (July 2001) and from that figure 3% are classed as illiterate so I guess that's still a sizeable number of people
Well, admittedly there's something just a little "1984" about the name "freedom corps", but on the other hand it just looks like amaericans are being encouraged to take some interest in their communities - something most countries could do with.
A cynical mind (not that I have one) might suggest that it's a ploy to keep the people too busy to stop and think about what Mister President is up to. But do they, anyway?
