Annoying, isn't it? Many of my uptimes have been ended by Software Update. Presumably the price we pay for having a decent usable interface. I've yet to find an X windows manager I didn't hate within 10 minutes.
Maybe they'll get rid of the reboots in 10.3

I hate KDE with a passion. I had it on my old 3400 when I had it dual-booting to OS8.5 and Suse7. I ended up just using the thing without a window manager, I never found one that made it easier to get things done.
