I just had to complete the biker gang race level on GTA-VC SIX times, 'cos each time I won the race, I managed to get myself killed on the way to save the game.

There's a save point you can buy just opposite the biker gang headquarters - facing away from the front of it, go across the road, round the corner to the right, and up the steps. It's something stupidly cheap like $1000, but it's in a very handy position for some of the later missions. It's also nice and close to the free body armour in the white garagey thing round the back of the biker bar, and there's a free gun that spawns in the corner beneath the steps.

I'm currently stuck on (a) the remote-controlled planes from the voodoo woman, and (b) the seaplane from the porn studio. Oh, and finding a golf cart to steal for my car dealership. They all seem to have vanished from the golf course.

I've been playing it far too much. I haven't even got my own PS2, although I do now have custody of one until after the weekend. It's the first computer game I've played seriously in about a decade - the last one I can remember was Monkey Island II. I think what I like about it most is that it's only vaguely linear; yes, there's plot progression, but you can pick the order you do the missions in to an extent, and there's always the little mini tasks like the taxi, vigilante, pizza delivery and paramedic missions, the rampages, the unique jumps, which you can do at any time - not to mention the joy of just getting yourself a big pile of guns and killing people at random until the cops get really angry. Police helicopter, meet rocket launcher!
