So, Mr Buyer, will you actually be able to get a mortgage to buy my flat? Please tell me, I'm ever so keen to find out.

Ooops

Errm - has someone put a bid in without first checking the state of his finances and such?

Or is it the paperwork / surveys etc?

Ack! My sister has just done the same thing to someone. She put in a bid on a house and the seller accepted... *then* she went to see about getting the mortgage loan. It all seems so backward to me...

Hope you hear something soon...

This has happened to someone else recently - apart from being an argument for adopting the Scottish system, what stops vendors in England saying, 'thanks for the offer, back it up with a deposit and I'll accept it'?
