I just gave myself a nasty shock. I was trying to work out when I was getting paid, how much and by whom. My old employers were experimenting with messing around with when they paid us "for tax reasons" and I've changed jobs, blah. Anyway I did the sums wrong, and thought I had about £500 to live on from now till the new year.

(My apologies to anyone who does only have that much, but it was a shock, see?)

If you ever have that type of shock again, and find out that for some reason its real - please remember you always have friends who would not let you starve.
