Am I the only person who's not afflicted with hayfever or gothdom and is actually enjoying the summer? Apart from having to spend large swathes of it indoors writing software of course.

And on a related note, why are so many of my friends *aspiring* to gothdom? Like, that pub at the weekend? With the trannies? Why was that advertised to us as a goth pub?

I have hayfever, and I'm at least slightly gothic, but I like the summer. I much prefer warm weather to cold, and I like the long days with hours and hours of sunshine. Much better than the winter, when I get inclined to SAD.

I don't like it when it's too hot and you can't escape from the sun, and even when layered with sunblock you're itching and sweating and burning, but I love long summer nights, when the sun doesn't go down until 9pm or later, and you can go for long walks with loved ones.
